The 15th International Conference on Engineering Structural Integrity Assessment (ESIA15), in conjunction with the 2019 International Symposium on Structural Integrity (ISSI-2019), China

8 and 9 May 2019, Granta Park Cambridge, UK

For Chinese participants, CSIC will organise a technical visiting to TWI on 7 May, 2019, and there will be a post conference workshop at Imperial College London on 10 May, 2019. As a result, Chinese participants are expected to arrive on 6 May for conference registration and leave on 11 May, 2019. Please contact Dr Mingliang Zhu via mlzhu@china-sic.net for further details.

The fifteenth biennial International Conference on Engineering Structural Integrity Assessment in conjunction with the 2019 International Symposium on Structural Integrity will be held at Granta Park near Cambridge, which is one of the oldest university cities in the world.

The ESIA15-ISSI2019 joint conference provides a special opportunity to offer a vehicle for exchange of views on how to characterise, analyse, predict and assess engineering structural integrity of plant, components and structures together with buildings and infrastructure.    It will allow an evaluation of progress and challenges in these areas to ensure that economic, safe and reliable operation is achieved for new design, and existing systems.

Oral and poster presentations will allow sufficient time for follow-up discussions, friendly debate and relaxed participation.

The Conference will be held at Granta Park, near Cambridge, United Kingdom.

SCOPE and TOPICS

We invite papers from industry, regulators, academia, technology support and supply chain organisations.

These relate to the assurance of structural integrity in relation to safe, economic and reliable solutions across industry.    The areas to be covered will include:

        >>Methodology developments

        >>Materials modelling and testing for applications, including through-life property changes

        >>Relevant Non-Destructive Inspection Technology developments

        >>Condition monitoring of structures and components

        >>Design and assessment Codes and Standards

        >>Durability assessment of component damage

        >>Operational experience including case studies

        >>Risk based inspection and maintenance

        >>Plant life prediction methodologies

        >>Issues relating to decommissioning, disposal and long term waste storage

KEYNOTE PAPERS

Each day will be commencing with a series of keynote presentations by internationally recognised speakers, drawn from the industry, business and academic communities.
